“Capacity Building on Environment” (Environment for Cyprus) is a project funded by the European Union under the Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community. Its aim is to improve the environment in Cyprus by increasing the technical capacity in environmental management and by raising awareness.
Through strategic capacity building, integrated natural resources management, and green policy development initiatives, the project seeks to foster a deep-rooted culture of environmental awareness, innovation and collaborative engagement in environmental management and practices.
By implementing the relevant European environment policies, the Cypriot communities would not only improve quality of life for people but also strengthen the foundation for island-wide collaboration in the common transition towards addressing climate change and the protection of the island’s natural capital.
